Kaddie & Patrick Robinson threw a New Year’s Eve bash for their wedding guests. Let me say, I am now the biggest fan of NYE weddings! With classy gold accents and black tones, the ceremony and reception tied in perfectly with their New Year’s Eve theme. Everything from a midnight Coney Bar to confetti cannons, Kaddie & Patrick planned an exciting evening to celebrate their new marriage.
Let’s start a little earlier in the day. After all getting ready at the same hotel, the bride, groom and wedding party met up at the campus of Michigan State University. Kaddie & Patrick are both alumni so the campus was the perfect place to get their photos done. This photo session didn’t go exactly as planned though. Kaddie & Patrick had elected to do a “no look” first look and just spend a little time together before saying their vows without the groom seeing the bride. I am so glad that Alexa Vandemark Photography was here to capture this, because after knowing his bride was there, Patrick could not resist; he HAD to see Kaddie. But let me just tell you about the ceremony! Due to logistics, I don’t often get a chance to sit in on the ceremony itself. However, because of the way the day was set up, I got to stay in the back and watch Patrick’s reaction to his bride walking down the aisle, hear their well-written and heart-warming vows, and witness the love and support from everyone in the room. Making their exit to “Mrs. Robinson” by Simon and Garfunkel (of course) the bridal party and guests set out in the snow to the reception location at Holiday Shores RV Park in Durand, Michigan.

Review of The Best Day Details from Kaddie R.
“Wow! I can’t say enough about Emily and all that she did to enhance our day. Her and her assistant, Hannah, went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely wonderful. We hired Emily to help coordinate our Michigan wedding as we live in Philadelphia, and she did that and so much more. She was an absolute life saver! She took care of all the small details that we may have otherwise overlooked. She was so personable and inviting. Not only did we hire a great coordinator, but we also made a great friend! If you’re contemplating a DOC, seriously, look no further! My father in law cannot stop raving about her! He said she was by far our best investment.”
