Okay first of all: strolling animals at cocktail hour. Need we say more? The Bissell Tree House is perfect for the couple who loves nature and animals. And can we just talk about this wrap around patio? The indoor reception space is immaculate with floor to ceiling windows. This particular couple chose to have their intimate wedding reception out on the deck. After having their ceremony at Frederick Meijer Gardens, the reception was just a quick jaunt via the Grand Rapids Beer Trolley. The wow factor with this venue for me is the shear size of the space. With no columns to speak of, this grand rapids wedding venue is a designers dream. Not to mention, this venue is able to accommodate more guests than almost anywhere else in the city. The space is located on the 5th floor with sweeping views of the city. The High Five also has a 4th floor space with a bridal suite, cocktail hour space, or even a ceremony location if you prefer no room flip time. The Downtown Market offers the greenhouse wedding of your dreams. While this particular wedding featured was during the pandemic and took place with a small guest list on the balcony, most Downtown Market couples choose to have their reception indoors in either the greenhouse or the banquet room. I think of any venue in our experience, I have seen the most diverse floor plans and seating arrangements here. It is so easy to make your wedding stand out from the rest! The balcony offers a beautiful space for photos and allow your guests room to move throughout the night. Can’t you picture your elegant, upscale wedding here? City Flats is the pinnacle of ballroom venues. The architecture alone is enough to blow your guests away. This historic venue is very popular so be sure to book early! One huge perk of this space is that, depending on your contract, you are able to keep the party going until midnight while most other venues close down at 11. Proximity to all the downtown photo locations is also a huge bonus. Most of my clients have had receptions only here and chosen to get married in a local church. But City Flats also offers the option to have your ceremony on site. They handle a room flip in under two hours while your guests enjoy a cocktail hour downstairs and return to a totally transformed space. We are a big fan of this even bigger space. New Vintage Place is the perfect venue for you if you want a big party. They have a ceremony space upstairs, cocktail hour downstairs, and the main reception room as well. With two getting ready suites on site, this venue has everything you need for a perfect day. It is close to several parks and of course all the downtown photo locations, but all of the photos above were taken on site! The managers here are responsive and helpful and are truly excited for your day. Their room layouts allow the dance floor to be front and center so your DJ or band won’t have any trouble getting your guests to come on out and have a good time. Speaking of a party, just wait until you see their bar! Find out more about this Grand Rapids wedding venue here: https://www.newvintageplace.com/

The Rutledge is one of the more unique loft style wedding venues in Grand Rapids. It offers an elegant and classic vibe to go with the brick walls and wood flooring. There is one getting ready suite on site and it is truly immaculate. The venue can allow for both a ceremony and reception with a room flip. The staff is kind and extraordinarily helpful, going above and beyond for each couple. The space has plenty of room for all your guests while still providing a warm, intimate feel.
